The most recent (3/25/06)
issue of the New England Journal of Medicine contains several items
that deserve a mention here at Corpus Callosum. It is worth
noting that there are three items related to psychopharmacology; this
degree of attention is unusual in a general medical journal.

There are two papers that report on results from the STAR*D (Sequenced Treatment Alternatives to Relieve Depression) project. One study shows what happens when patients are switched from one antidepressant that is not working for them, to a different one. The other shows what happens when a second drug is added to the first one. The third paper discusses what is known about the cardiovascular risk of stimulant medications used to treat ADHD.
